Unlike a pie iron that crimps the edge of the bread, the Panini press is designed to evenly press and toast the sandwich. The cast iron cooking surface is 8" x 4" and perfect for ciabatta and other artisan style breads. 16" rods/handles are removable from the cast iron for easy storage and cleanup.
